Adware.Hotbar is very dangerous?
VIDEOEATER8U Said,
@hgfhdfhfyhud um well try this siftware called revo uninstaller and get the free vesion. It uninstalles programs and scans for any leftover registry keys and files that would alow itself to reinstall itself. 1. disconnect from the internet. 2. run revo and uninstall hotbar. 3.restart your computer. 4. connect back to the internet and it should be gone for good. gd luck

@mrslothguy yes its not hot bar its self thats dangerous, its the pop ups and sites that it opens that puts you at risk to a whole load of stuff. i’m glad that its gone and yes you can keep your audacity as its not injected into to audacity program itself but it installs it’s self in the installer. thanks
VIDEOEATER8U Said,

I have Windows 7 and I was visiting a website which told me I had to install the Adware.hotbar to continue. Being the complete dumbass I was , I installed it , then norton informed me that there was a risk. I thought that it was just a toolbar and ‘excluded’ it from being removed. I checked up on Adware.hotbar and found this. Right now , Im running a scan , will it show up and allow me to remove it? It dosen’t seem to show up in processes in Task Manager. (Norton seemed to remove it previously)

Look what have I done. I downloaded hotbar setup but I saved the file. I just scanned the file first with Avast! free antivirus then with Malwarebytes.
Results: Avast free antivirus said: “No threat found”.
Malwarebytes said it’s a virus.
