how do i download movies and music from places like limewire and bearshare without getting viruses and adware?

i would like to get movies and music through limewire or bearshare but do not want my new computer to get adware or spyware or viruses. how do i do this? or is it even possible?

By NOT using limewire….limewire has completely crashed my computer 3 times…three different comuters…use piratebay or whatever its called….dont use LIMEWIRE
Lime wire installs spyware onto your computer when you install lime wire, the only way not to get this is not to use it
i am currently using limewire as i am gett a very good speed…..limewire is good but do not search music or movies via limewire ….download movies from torrents like mininova , isohunt , etc…mininova is the best as it does not contain any adult stuff but isohunt does contain adult stuff….u can start your p2p download via limewire ….try it once and u will enjoy….cheers….

Most any free sites are going to be really sketchy, imo.
Limewire just gave me a bunch of viruses.
