Spyware and Adware Review

When I try to download security that will clean out the virus/adware, a big red box pops up telling me I am entering a "potentially dangerous" site. Then at the bottom, it gives two choices: "Continue without protection" and "Buy product now." Thanks for all of the answers so far, but, they haven't helped (b/c I can't download b/c it'll block the site).

  1. Jeff Said,

You are infected with spyware if:

    * You see too much pop-up advertisements.
    * Your browser has toolbars that you haven't installed.
    * Your homepage has changed (and you can't change it back).
    * Other settings have changed without your permission.
    * Your computer is slow.

To get rid of spyware and keep your computer clean you can use an antispyware or even more.
You can download a antispyware software. There are 10 good anti-spywares.
    here is the reviews: http://toptenantispyware.com

You can download one and scan your system.
All are safe and can be trusted.

  2. The Phlebob Said,

If you haven't already, try downloading in Safe Mode With Networking. That sometimes keeps malware from protecting itself.

If that doesn't work, try downloading to a flash drive on another machine, then install and run it on your sick machine in Safe Mode.

To get into Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking:

1.Log out and reboot your machine.
2.When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.
3.Select Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu.
4.Login. If the malware has changed your password, try logging in as Administrator. By default, Administrator has no password.
5.The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different.
6.When you're finished doing what you need to do, log out and reboot back into normal mode.

    Good luck.

  3. Johnny Said,

    Hello Rusty,

This is not good. This big red box pop-up is a sign of spyware infection. It more than likely means that a spyware program has changed a value in your registry. That is why you are getting the potentially dangerous site error.

The spyware also explains why it only gives you two options.
    1. Continue without protection
    2. Buy Product Now

This is a dangerous spyware program, do not give out your credit card details.

A couple months back, I had a very nasty spyware infection. It completely screwed my computer up, and I thought I was going to have to buy a new computer.

I tried a couple of free spyware removal programs, but they could never fully delete all of my spyware from my computer.
They also could not fix the errors in my registry.

It seems like you have a similar problem.

It wasn't until I found a website in google that allowed me to scan my computer for free, and then decide if I wanted to delete it or not. Of course I did, and I haven't looked back since.

The program I use is AdwareAlert, and it has kept my computer spyware free for a couple of months now, it also has an optional registry cleaner (which is probably what you need).

You can find the website below.

The website above can help you get rid of this big red box pop-ups. Just select the free scan and clean your computer.

    Good Luck!
