   They never download silly stuff, so it doesn’t get on their computer in the first place. If it does, they use various programs (some free, some at a cost).

   LavaSoft’s Adware is pretty good (and free). But yes, you will have to download it (it’s a reputable program, so don’t worry about it introducing stuff that you haven’t asked for).
