My computer has been running slow lately and I am not sure if I have spyware in my PC. I was wondering if there is any way of knowing if my computer is infected or if it is just, slow. Please give me any advice or any ways I can keep spyware/adware off my COMPUTER!!!

First of all get an anti-virus, they always comes with spyware and adware protection.
I recommend you http://www.microsoft.com there you can download free trials just to make sure if your computer has one or not (the easiest way).
If not…I have no idea
If you have pop-ups for sites you’ve never visited before coming up then you’re infected. The only way to fix this is to purchase anti-spyware software. It may also be you have too many background programs running.
Go to http://www.trendmicro.com and click on house calls and it will scan your pc and then if you have spyware or adware you can get rid of it for free also.you can also go to http://www.lavasoft.com and down load it for free.
run a spy scan with the one from yahoo at the top of the page or ,, open the tools and in internet delete the files and the history and the cookies ,now open the cleaning tool in the program accessories ,after that do a defrager twice,, now see how fast it is , ,slow still, then shut down the internet connection, and put on your fire wall ,,was it turned off ,,thats a sign ,,go back on the interweb,, and go to adaware ,,and spy bot search and destroy ,,and also to trend-micro ,,,and do all those scans for free,, now if they are blocked,, then turn off the internet,, and do them again ,,now its clean,, go to restore and make this a clean record of your computer for later,, if it slows again go there and start again
