Detect and Remove Spyware

   I got it. . If i get a malware program that blocks all my programs and the internet can i use the bot to sop it from doing that. I just recently got the malware called spywareblue or something like that and i had to do a system restore(with backup). I was able to delete the viruses in the backup folder but i was wondering if i could use that to eliminate having to reformat the pc if something like that happens again. Thank you!

   Or you can just right click the files in purple. Go to the threads tab. And click permission.

   I have tried the cacls method and it said “No assignment has been carried out between accounts and the ID’s” Or something similar like that (used a translator).
   Is there something wrong with my comp if im unable to do the cacls method? =/

    yo i barely noticed that these tool are what bestbuy uses for there virus removing services i was browsing into my folder files and found it but they uninstalled it and now since i saw this video im not spending 200 bucks in that store again. thanks.

    It most certainly does not seem like it is important to the OS, so you could always discable it with the CALCS command and see if it affects any other software. Looks like a pretty random name though and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was some type of malware.

    Have you tried following these instructions?

    Just joking – you might have a problem with a BHO (Browser Helper Object) – does this message appear only with one browser? If so, that is probably the problem and you can use HiJackThis to remove the offending files.

    Otherwise if it happens when you use all web browsers it might be some type of malware you need to irradicate using the botts technique as described in this video.

    I found a purple dll its name is UACahbmpwps.dll and when i google there was no results about it? Should i remove it?

    Restart your PC in Safe Mode with Networking from boot menu (press f8 when compter starts)

    Log onto personal account with admin access.

    goto command prompt (start > run > cmd)

    type

    net user administrator /active

    This should enable admin account.

    There are many great free anti-virus and anti-spyware program out there. You should use / buy these programs based on your own needs. For example, I absolutley hate symantec’s internet security package as it’s nothing but “bloatware” that slows the system down, however, for a complete beginner it might provide the protection needed. Genreally I find that AVG is pretty good all around, and pretty light weight when it comes to using system resources. But to each thier own.

    Absolutley. It will work with any windows system as long as the hard drive is formatted with NTFS. Vista is formatted NTFS, so it will work just fine.

    Note: You must be logged in as an admin user, this means you may need to boot into safe mode depending what version of vista / XP you are using.
