What is the best free antiware/spyware to manage virus problems in internet use?

Would any one kindly let me know what is the best FREE or LESS COST spyware, antivirus kits available, which will enable us to have free mind while using internet.

Some people will tell you free ones are not good, but this is not so…most good free ones come from companies that use them as introductions to their paid ones, which might go all the way up to enterprise versions for huge companies.
Good ones I like, with reasons, are
Avast (antivirus, separate modules for real-time monitoring of Internet, P2Pdownloads (limewire etc) Email, so you save memory by only loading the ones you need (from tray icon).Bit awkward for scanning, as asks you to decide one by one tto keep/kill/quarantine each item it finds

Another good one remover is Clamwin, a bit slow but thorough; bit heavy on memory

Spybot, goes for spy type malware, also removes Registry entries they leave behind, which some others don’t…check out all it can do in Mode>Advanced

Then you need CCleaner, which cleans caches, internet temporary files, Registry junk, excellent after cleaning out old files of your own; many features but easy to use

If you run all these every now and then, (Safe Mode is better for scanning in) and then run the system’s own Defragment utility, you should have a clean and fast machine for a long time.Set a new Restore Point after doing your scanning.

i use kaspersky for EVERY threat i can think of and have no problem but it’s not free. and tests from 2007 up till now show that it’s the best.
The best antivirus (based on my research) is Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Premium, while the best antispyware (with antivirus as well) is McAfee Virus Scan and Anti Spyware – the price is around $ 40.
If you want free and good antivirus, use AVG Free Edition. For free antispyware, if you use windows, use Windows Defender, if you do not use Windows, try Spybot Search and Destroy.
