why wont my mcafee antivrus get rid of adware?

I usually get rid of a trojan adware viruses easily but this one is a pain in the rear. It will not let me start my computer in normal mode and it constantly pops up update yoru security stuff. Please help.

    you have some malware running that your AV software can not detect.
    you should probably get spybot s&d or adaware and scan your computer.

    also i recommend uninstalling mcafee AV and using a freeware one like AVG or nod32

    if you are not familiar with computers, just reinstall windows and that will eliminate whatever program that is running that your software can not detect. be more careful in the future.

    I would get rid of Mcafee because without virus protection your computer is completely fine unless you go on virus-filled websites. I dont have anti-virus and my computer has been fine.
